Ali Baba: Arrest your man if he beats you up

This is quite refreshing.

Known as the king of comedy, Ali Baba has chosen to speak up against the silent killer in many homes: domestic violence.

Ali Baba took to his twitter account on Monday, June 23, to thrash out this very disturbing act, which transcends gender, tribe, race and even profession — although it is perpetrated more against the women.

This unbecoming act has led to the loss of some lives and has left some in a state of physical or psychological trauma. The dangers of domestic violence can never be over–flogged, as we are actually talking about the wellbeing and security of the lives of persons, who are like you and me, who could be your mother, sister, cousin, niece or daughter.

This does not only pertain to husband-and-wife relationships, as some are also victims of domestic violence in their boyfriend/girlfriend relationships. Some live-in lovers are also in the habit of violating their partners, who may or may not speak up against such act.

It is rather quite appalling that some men actually attacked Ali Baba for his tweet, which read: “IF HE HITS YOU, BEATS YOU OR THREATENS TO BEAT YOU… MY SISTERS RUUUUUUUUUUUUUN! YES. I SAID IT. GO AND CALL POLICE.”

One of Ali Baba‘s male followers replied the comedian by saying women “always like to be hit”. That’s a very depressing comment coming from a doctor, if we are to believe his twitter handle.
