Oluwasegun Famisa, a first class graduate of electrical engineering, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun state could not have started the year on a better note, as he became N1 million naira richer and landed a new job with Heritage Bank.
Adebayo received the award for outstanding academic performance, which he proved by supplying concrete evidences of his graduation grades
Receiving the award at Eko Hotels convention centre during the January 1 concert of Ali Baba, the king of comedy, he expressed delight, promising to keep on striving for the best.
“First of all, I give glory to God. I feel very good over this,” the newest employee of Heritage Bank told TheCable.

“The last time I felt anything close to this was during my graduation in December and this is a sign that it would be a very good year. I promise to keep striving towards the best in life.”
The day was not for Adebayo alone, as outstanding personalities including Chioma Ajunwa, Nigeria’s first Olympic gold medalist; Mike Adenuga, CEO of Globacom; Aloma Mukhtar, the first female chief justice of Nigeria, were also honoured.
Fun seekers also assembled for what could be described as one of the biggest comedy shows in the country.

Top comedy acts such as Sheyi Law, Gbenga Adeyinka, Omo Baba, Okey Bakassi, Basorge jnr, Bovi, Koffi, Funny Bone, AY, Tee A, Princess, Helen Paul and a host of others kept the hall alive with rib-cracking jokes.
Music stars like Tuface, Adwale Ayuba, Omawumi, Timi Dakolo, Dammy Krane, DJ Cuppy, Sound Sultan, Tiwa Savage, were also not left out in action.
Though the programme, which was billed for 4pm did not commence until about 7pm, the guests had good value for their money.
Jedi, also a comedian, who anchored the programme gave a good delivery of himself, making many guests refuse to leave when the show ended.

Abimbola Fashola, the first lady of Lagos state; Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man; Femi Otedola, the chief executive officer of Forte Oil; Dele Mommodu, publisher of Ovation Magazine; Bisi Onasanya, the managing director of First Bank were in attendance.
Others were Ifie Sekibo, CEO of Heritage Bank; Akeem Oyetunde, managing director, Core and Allied Engineering Service; Amaju Pinnick, president of the Nigerian Football Federation; and Mo Abudu, CEO of EbonyLife Television.
