Sunshine beat Shooting to go top of the league

Sunshine Stars of Akure moved to the summit of the Glo Premier League after a 2-0 win over Shooting Stars of Ibadan in week eight-match played at the Akure Township Stadium.

Tunde Adeniji scored the opening goal for the hosts in the 60th minute, after a goalless first half.

Sunshine continued dominance of the game paid off when Dele Olorundare extended their lead in the 67th minute, after an assist from Seun Olulayo.

After the match, Adeniji said he was impressed with the performance of the team so far in the league.

“I and my teammates, as well as the team’s coaches, have continued to show commitment to our games, and I am optimistic that the commitment will see us through this season,” he told NAN.
