The Bauchi state emergency management agency (SEMA) says 10 persons have lost their lives in the recent flood that destroyed houses in Zaki LGA of the state.

According to NAN, Adams Nayola, director of planning, research and statistics in the agency, announced the development on Wednesday during an interview in Bauchi.

Nayola said many houses and farmlands were washed away in the flood, adding that the situation has caused the displacement of many residents in 19 LGAs in the state.

He said only one out of the 20 LGAs in the state was not affected by the flood.
