The Ivorian government on Sunday confirmed that there were at least 11 casualties, including a five-year-old child, from shootings at two hotels in the country.
The hotles are: Etoile Du Sud in the coastal city of Grand-Bassam, which is popular with Western tourists, and Koral Beach Annexe.
In series of messages on social media, the government quoted witnesses as saying the gunmen shouted “Allahu Akbar” (God is great) before opening fire.
