Multiple bomb attacks in mosques at Sanaa, Yemen, have left not less than 137 people dead with about 345 others injured, Shiite rebel-owned television (TV) reports.
According to Al-Masirah TV, triple suicide bomb attacks hit Badr and al-Hashoosh mosques during midday prayers on Friday, traditionally the most crowded time of the week.
It added that hospitals were urging citizens to donate blood
According to witnesses, at least two suicide bombers, one detonating the device inside the mosque and the other outside the mosque as the panicking crowd attempted an escape.

A witness at the al-Hashoosh mosque, located in Sanaa’s northern district, said that he was thrown two meters away by the blast.
“The heads, legs and arms of the dead people were scattered on the floor of the mosque, blood is running like a river,” Mohammed al-Ansi told AP.
The Shiite TV network aired footage from inside al-Hashoosh mosque, where screaming volunteers were using bloodied blankets to carry away victims, requesting that people come to the hospitals to donate blood to save lives.

Though no one has claimed responsibility, some ISIS supporters on social media have said the Islamist terror group is responsible for the attack.
Islamic State (ISIS) set up a branch in Yemen in November. If confirmed, the attacks would be the first carried out by ISIS in the south western Asian country.
