Troops of the Nigerian Army have reportedly killed 14 Boko Haram terrorists during raids on several hideouts in Borno.
Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication focused on the Lake Chad region, said 12 of the terrorists were killed at their hideouts in Bula Dalo, Bula Marwa, Gaizuwa, and Chongolo in Bama LGA.
An intelligence source told Makama that the operation was conducted by troops of operation Hadin Kai and Desert Sanity III in collaboration with the Hybrid Force on August 9.
The publication said the troops recovered one improvised explosive device (IED), three dane guns, one bicycle, three Boko Haram terrorist flags, and drugs.

Makama said 16 family members of the terrorists, comprising one adult female and 15 children, were rescued.
In another operation, troops of operation Hadin Kai killed two terrorists during a raid in Kodunga LGA of Borno.
Makama said the operation was conducted in collaboration with hunters, hybrid forces, and the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) on August 8.

The publication said the troops engaged the insurgents after intelligence reports revealed that members of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists were seen crossing the Kumala general area.
Makama said the insurgents were ambushed along the crossing route from Sambisa to Alagarno forest, adding that two of the terrorists escaped.
The publication added that the troops recovered one AK-47 rifle, a magazine containing five rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, three bicycles, and assorted food items.
