A gas explosion that occurred in the Ijora Badia area in Apapa LGA of Lagos has injured at least 15 persons.
The explosion, which happened late Sunday, was ignited by a leaking gas cylinder from a mini shop in the area.
The mini shop was attached to a bungalow consisting of 15 rooms and seven other shops.
In a statement on Sunday, Margaret Adeseye, director of the Lagos state fire and rescue service, attributed the gas explosion to “gas leakage from mishandling of products attracting a nearby flame”.
