Tiamiyu Nimotallah, a student from Al-Ameen College, Ogun, has been crowned the winner of the 2024 edition of Brightest National Agric Science Quiz Contest.
The 15-year-old won the competition at the grand finale, which aired on Sunday.
She earned N4 million in scholarships for her performance, while her teachers will get a N400,000 cash prize.
Jubril Olukolu, a student of Ilasan Senior Secondary School, Lagos, finished in second place with N2.4 million scholarship and another N240,000 going to his teachers.

Aninze Jennifer took third and earned N1.4 million in scholarships, with N144,000 for the teachers.
Chubuike Aloysius, a student of Brainfield Schools, Lagos, placed fourth and took home N816,000 in scholarships, while his teacher won N81,000.
The remaining members of the top nine finalists also earned the remainder of the competition’s N16 million scholarship fund.

The students are Joseph Onyedikachi, Ayomide Abiodun, Titobi Adeyemi, Oladayo Bello and Ekene Anumba.
The competition was organised by JustMedia Production and sponsored by OCP Africa, BlackCountry Farms and Providus Bank.
The contest began with selecting 81 qualified students from over 16,000 applicants from over 2000 secondary schools (public and private) across Nigeria who participated in the online national qualifying examination.
The selected students proceeded to the second stage, battling it out in the IT-driven TV quiz show, testing their knowledge of agricultural science and technology.

The show was aired for 13 weeks by TV stations across the country.
