Idowu Sonoiki, the 15th one-day governor of Lagos state, on Thursday urged said he would ‘change everything that is bad in the state” if he had the powers to.

The SS2 student of Ikotun Senior High School, who is one-day governor for winning the 2015 Spelling Bee Competition in Lagos, also urged the state government to rehabilitate the roads leading to his school.

Speaking with NAN, he pleaded with the government to construct additional classrooms in his school to widen admission opportunities for more students.

He defeated 55 other students from six educational districts in the state, who scaled through the preliminary stage at the local government levels to the final stage.

For one day in September, he will perform the pseudo roles of a state governor with his cabinet members, who are six contestants who emerged second to first to sixth runner-up.

While Sonoiki was rewarded on the spot with a medal, N250,000 and a trophy for his effort, the first runner-up got a medal, trophy and N150,000, while the third runner-up got 100,000.
