Ogenyi Onazi, Super Eagles midfielder, has signed a four-year deal with Turkish team, Trabzonspor FC — 18 days after failed coup in Turkey.
The contract is reportedly worth the sum of 5 million Euros.
Eddy, as he is fondly called, took to his Instagram page to show gratitude to fans of his former club Lazio FC.
“When it all started five years ago. Big thanks to all the great Lazio fans who stood by me when the time was rough and when we all smile,” he said.

“God bless you all. I will always be praying for you all.”
Speaking to TheCable on Tuesday, just after the deal was sealed, Onazi expressed how excited he is to join the Turkish side.
“I am happy to have signed for Trabzonspor. I am ready to give my best always and with my new club, it won’t be an exception,” he said.

Onazi joined Lazio FC of Italy in 2012 and scored four goals in 76 games.
He also debuted for the Super Eagles in 2012 and played 38 times as a regular member of the team, playing all the games of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
He was a regular fixture from the national U-17 and Under-20 teams before being invited to the national team where he became a key player in the 2013 African Cup of Nations championship win.
