The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Bauchi command, says 20 people were killed in an auto crash which occurred in Ganjuwa LGA of the state on Tuesday.
According to NAN, Yusuf Abdullahi, public relations officer of the command, said the accident involved a commercial Golf 3 bus and a Sharon Volkswagen vehicle.
The accident occurred at Huturu village on the Bauchi-Kano road at about 11:30am.
The Bauchi FRSC command spokesperson added that it took corps personnel about 12 minutes to arrive the scene of the incident.

“Twenty-one people were involved in the crash, and there were 12 male adults, five female adults, one male child and three female children,” he said.
“Eleven male adults, five female adults, one male child and three female children lost their lives to the crash, and one male adult is still receiving treatment.”
He said the cause of the accident was speed violation and dangerous driving.

Abdullahi added that the deceased persons will be buried in Hunturu village.
He also said the injured person was taken to the Kafin Madaki General Hospital in Ganjuwa LGA of the state for treatment.
The state command, however, urged motorists to ensure strict compliance with traffic rules and regulations to avoid accidents.
