The Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) has announced that women and internally displaced persons (IDPs) are exempted from making payments for expression-of-interest and nomination forms of the party.
However, the IDPs must produce written evidence of their IDP status from the National Emergency Management Agency or the office of International Red Cross operating in their area.
The party has also announced an extension of the closing date for the sale and collection of the expression-of-interest and nomination forms.
It initially fixed November 10 as the closing date, but now November 17 is the new closing date.

Aspirants are expected to hand in their completed forms before November 25.
Presidential aspirants are to pay N25 million for the forms, governorship aspirants N5 million, senatorial aspirants N2.5 million, house of representatives aspirants N500, 000 and state house of assembly aspirants, N250,000.
The PDM has also reviewed the schedule for its primary election to accommodate the extension.

According to the party, the presidential primary election will take place on December 11, while the gubernatorial primary will take place on December 5.
State house of assembly primary election will take place on December 3, house of representatives primary election, December 7 while senatorial primary election will take place December 9.
The PDM was registered in August 2013. The national chairman of the party is Bashir Ibrahim.
