The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Nkiru Balonwu, a managing partner at RDF, a communications and stakeholder engagement consultancy, to engage Nigerian women ahead of the 2019 election.
According to the party, the move underscores the seriousness of the PDP at approaching the 2019 presidential campaign from an issues-based perspective.
Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the PDP, had said his cabinet would include 40 percent of youth and women.
Abubakar said he is emotionally attached to womanhood while explaining that poverty cannot be eradicated without the empowerment of women.
