A pressure group, the Akwa Ibom Liberation Movement, says police report on the gubernatorial and state assembly elections has vindicated Akwa Ibom people.
The report submitted to the deputy inspector general of police in charge of the department of operations, has that the election was peaceful, free, fair and credible.
The group blamed the APC for the pocket of violence been experienced in some polling units in the state during the elections, making reference to the violence during the APC primaries in the state.
The Akwa Ibom Liberation Movement, AILM, noted that the APC leaders in the state were boosting that the commissioner was allegedly sent specifically to ensure that APC captured the state and also to intimidate, arrest of key PDP Stakeholders in the state so that the will take over through the federal might as was allegedly reported.

Speaking with reporters in his office in Uyo, the leader of the Akwa Ibom liberation Movement, Emmanuel Sam said the people of Akwa Ibom refused to be intimidated and went out freely to exercise their civic responsibility and also defended their votes.
The election according to him, was adjudged by local and international observers as well as the media as credible.
