Adeniyi Omogbehin and Bode Oyerinde, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in the house of representatives, have lost their bid to return to the national assembly in 2019.
The lawmakers were defeated at the party’s primary election in Ondo state.
Omogbehin, who represents Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency, polled 43 votes but was defeated by Akingboju Gboluga who had 119 votes.
In Owo/Ose federal constituency, Ayorinde got 73 votes while the victor, Oluwole Obaneyen, scored 107 votes.

In other results, Kolade Akinjo, member representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo federal constituency, had 177 votes to beat his closest contender, Benson Amuwa.
Omolafe Adedayo, former chairman, Akure south local government area, defeated three contestants to become the party’s flag bearer for Akure south/north federal constituency.
In Akoko south-east/south-west federal constituency, Martins Abiloye was declared winner with 177 votes.

Olawale Ogunleye polled 109 votes to clinch the party’s ticket in Akoko north-east/north-west federal constituency.
Kayode Akinmade, a former commissioner for information in Ondo, was unopposed in his bid to represent Idanre/Ifedore federal constituency.
