D’Tigress have been drawn against the US, Senegal and Belgium in group B of the qualifiers for the women’s basketball event at the 2024 Olympics.
A total of 16 countries will slug it out in four global FIBA Women’s Olympic qualifying tournaments taking place from 8 to 11 February 2024.
France, the hosts, and the United States, the champions, are the only teams who have qualified for the competition, while the final 12 berths will be decided across the four qualification tourneys to be held in Belgium, China, Brazil and Hungary.
Nigeria and Senegal are the only African representatives at the qualification tourney after booking their places in the playoffs by finishing first and second at the 2023 Afrobasket respectively.
