Benue killers must be brought to book, says Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with Samuel Ortom, governor of Benue, and residents of the state over the New Year attack in Guma and Logo local government areas.

The attack which claimed over 20 lives and left many injured, was said to have occurred between Monday and Tuesday.

Ortom had said that out of the number of those killed, nine were livestock guards who were to enforce the state’s anti-open grazing law.

In a statement by Garba Shehu, presidential spokesman, Buhari described that attacks as “wicked and callous”.
