A special cultism court in Ogun has sentenced Tobiloba Ogunbo, a cultist, to seven years in prison.

O. L. Oke, the presiding judge, on Friday, convicted 29-year-old Ogunbo for being a member of a secret cult and causing a breach of public peace.

The judge said the evidence presented by the prosecution was tenable and sentenced Ogunbo to seven years in a correctional centre without an option of a fine.

Olaide Rawlings, the police prosecutor, told the court that Ogunbo committed the offences on January 19, 2024, at about 2 pm in the Sabo area of Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun state.
