Celebrities within and outside Nigeria have joined voices in condemning the gruesome Boko Haram attack on Baga, Borno state.
In what was described as the worst attack carried out by the sect, many lives were lost, while the entire community was destroyed.
Among those who lent their voice in solidarity with Baga were Grammy award-winning rapper, Lecrae; Nigerian leading artiste and vote-not-fight ambassador, 2face Idibia; Anaconda crooner, Nicki Minaj; EME boss, Banky W, among others.
Lecrae, who tweeted CNN’s report of the attack on Baga, expressed his anger, saying: “Nigerian Massacre. I’m so angry and heartbroken.”

Multi award-winning rapper and song writer, Nicki Minaj, also took to Twitter to express his love for the country at such trying time.
“Sending my love to Nigeria,” Minaj tweeted.
2face Idibia, looking forward, said matters arising against Nigeria had been tragic but the coming election is the most important issue at the moment.

“Seriously #BAGA #BringBackOurGirls tragic but na election matter important pass. God and the world is watching,” Idibia said via his Twitter account.
The celebrities who took to social media to express their displeasure made it clear to the fans and followers that the attack on Baga was indeed one too many.
After Chris Olukolade, the army spokesman put the death toll at 150 as against the 2,000 earlier reported by Amnesty international, Banky W came out to say the number doesn’t matter.
“Doesn’t matter if its 150 or 1, it’s unacceptable RT @jaguda_dotcom: No More Than 150 Killed In Baga – NigerianDefence,” The EME boss replied a tweet.

Sound Sultan, the Naija Ninja, sent his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, saying he sorrowed and concerned by the incident.
“Baga Killings, too sad. We are still ignoring the viciousness of these people. I pray for the departed and their families,” he said.
Others celebrities who showed concerns were Seun Kuti and Eldee the Don.
