Three people have lost their lives in a fresh outbreak of violence in Samaru Kataf, Zangon Kataf local government area of Kaduna state.
A witness told TheCable that gunmen invaded a market in Samaru Kataf and opened fire on the traders.
“Some weeks ago, the herdsmen wrote to the community that they were coming to attack. The community reported to the police; now it has happened,” he said.
“Three people were killed while four were injured in the devilish attack.

“This is happening despite heavy security presence here, so how can we have confidence in security agents?”
Aliyu Usman, spokesman of the Kaduna state police command, could not be reached on telephone as of the time of filing this report.
The latest attack made the state government to reverse its earlier decision to relax the 24-hour curfew it imposed on Zangon Kataf.
