Over 30 senators storm Ekweremadu’s residence in solidarity

Senators of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) visited Ike Ekweremadu, deputy senate president, on Tuesday.

The visit was in solidarity with the lawmaker over a siege laid to his residence by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

They had prevented Ekweremadu from going to the national assembly to attend plenary.

At the close of plenary on Tuesday, the senate president announced that there would be bus to convey senators to his house.
