Victor Ogene, chairman of the Network for Best Practice and Integrity in Leadership (NEBPRIL), and his partners have launched an online newspaper — 365Daily.com.ng.
Ogene, publisher and editor-in-chief of 365Daily, described the newspaper “as one seeking to be the most influential, informative and reliable online newspaper, with the intention of preserving, serving and seeking for the unity, peace and development of Nigeria”.
According to a statement issued on Monday, Ogene, who is a former member of the house of representatives, said 365Daily will begin operations on November 4, 2020.
The former news editor of The Source newsmagazine also noted that the newspaper will help chart a new course for Nigeria with its decision to maintain the principles and ethics of news reporting.

“365Daily is coming at a very tenuous time when our country is not only deeply fragmented, polarised and tethering on the precipice, but also gravely challenged by leadership deficit,” the statement read.
“Given the role of news management in redirecting societies towards order and progress, 365Daily’s grand entry is, therefore, intended to help chart a new course for Nigeria, by sticking to the grand principles of Truth, Fairness and Equity in our handling of news and analysis.”
He explained that with the existence of multiple online publications, the distinguishing feature of 365Daily is its decision to ensure quality and balanced reporting.

“We’d rather tarry on the side of caution, than rush to dish out untruth or unsubstantiated news,” Ogene was quoted as saying.
Adesuwa Tsan, former editor of OrderPaper.ng, is the editor of 365Daily.
