At least 42 people were killed in a collision between a bus and a truck in southern France on Friday morning.
Most of the victims involved in the accident, said to be the worst road crash since 1982, were pensioners, according to CNN.
“It was a bus carrying elderly people. There are five people who are injured, and three people safe,” a source told CNN.
Commenting on the incident, President Francois Hollande of France, said: “It is a great tragedy … families of the victims should be assured of the solidarity of the whole nation”.
