Another set of 53 Nigerian returnees from Ghana and Benin Republic have arrived at the Seme border post of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) in Lagos state.
The returnees from Ghana were said to have arrived at the boder on Saturday in two luxury buses, while others from Benin Republic were brought by Beninoise officials to the border.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), an official of the Port Health Services (PHS) in Seme said the returnees include 39 males and 14 females.
The official said the returnees have been screened by health officials.

“They arrived at 3:30 a.m. today from Ghana and Republic of Benin,” the official said.
“While those from Ghana came in two luxurious buses, the returnees from Benin Republic were dropped here by different cars.
“We have informed officials of Lagos State Ministry of Health and they are on their way to Seme border to evacuate the returnees to isolation centres in Badagry where COVID-19 screening will be conducted on them.”

In April, 23 returnees from Togo arrived at Seme border.
