A building collapsed in Abuja on Monday sometime between 12:00 and 12:30am, leaving two persons trapped in the debris.
Speaking to journalists, Abbas Idriss, a staff of the FCT Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), said eight people were trapped earlier but six had been rescued in the crash, which occurred at Road 444/441, Okpanachi Crescent, Gwarimpa estate.
“We hope that the remaining two would be rescued alive,” Idris said.
He said that the relevant authorities, such as the FCT’s department of development control, would be able to ascertain the cause of collapse after carrying out tests.
