Not less than 70 Afghanistan soldiers were killed during a Taliban attack on a military base.
According to an army spokesperson, the insurgents targeted those leaving Friday prayers at the base’s mosque, as well as others in a canteen.
The Mazar-e-Sharif base is home to the Afghan national army’s 209th corps.
