8 months after Boko Haram raid, Mubi poly resumes lectures

The federal polytechnic, Mubi, Adamawa state, which closed in the wake of Boko Haram invasion of the town in October 2014, has re-opened for academic work, according to Philip Ndalamu, the institution’s director of information and protocol.

Ndalamu made the fact known to NAN in Yola, capital of Adamawa, on Sunday, saying arrangements have been made for students who intend resuming on Monday.

“We re-opened three weeks ago and the staff have equally resumed work. Arrangements have been put in place for students who have been returning to commence lectures on Monday,” he said.

Ndalamu said major repair works of structures damaged by the insurgents had been concluded.
