A high court in Ikeja, Lagos, has fixed January 2020 for hearing of the suit Akinwunmi Ambode, former governor of the state, filed against the house of assembly over the procurement of 820 buses.
The lawmakers, who said the former governor acquired the buses without their approval, had set up a panel to probe him.
The panel invited Ambode but he did not appear before it and the assembly threatened to issue a warrant for his arrest.
The governor had headed to the court and the assembly was ordered to suspend its probe pending hearing of the suit.
