Jacques Hamel, a priest, was killed during an attack on a Catholic Church in Normandy, France, on Tuesday.
The 84-year-old was killed when two men armed with knives entered the church during a service, and took people hostage.
Hamel died after his throat was slit by one of the armed men.
The Vatican condemned the attack on the priest, calling it a terrible and barbarous killing.

Francois Hollande, president of France, told reporters that the deadly attack at a Catholic church in Normandy was carried out by terrorists who pledged allegiance to ISIS.
The attack is the latest in a series of deadly attacks in Europe, including the one in Nice on Bastille Day that killed 84 people.
Many of the attacks have been linked to ISIS.
