Divine Ejowvokoghene Oduduru, Nigerian sprinter, has qualified for the semi-final of the Men’s 200m heat of the Rio 2016 Olympics, finishing second behind Usain Bolt.
Once the butt of social media jokes after he said of a coming race: “It’s gonna be a deadly day; everybody gonna die on the line”, Oduduru, the reigning Nigerian 200m champion, finished behind Bolt with a personal best of 20.34 seconds.
Usain Bolt easily won the heat in 20.28 seconds.
Oduduru is a five-time African Junior Champion; he won silver in the 200m race of the 2014 World Junior Championship.

He was the gold medalist in both the 100m and 200m at the 2013 African Youth Athletics championships.
Oduduru advanced to the 200m semi-finals with the likes of Usain Bolt, Justin Gatlin and Yohan Blake.
