Paul Enenche, senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, says the ministry carries out due diligence when constructing worship centres.

Enenche spoke on Wednesday when he visited the scene where the church building collapsed in Makurdi, the Benue state capital.

One pastor Emmanuel was killed after a Dunamis church collapsed while he was observing prayer in the worship centre on Tuesday.

During the visit, the senior pastor of the ministry prayed with the congregation after he went round to inspect the collapsed building.

He expressed sadness over the incident, adding that the same church was filled to capacity on Sunday for seven hours of prayers and worship.

He described the late pastor as “a dedicated servant of God who had served God dedicatedly all his life”.

“As a ministry, we employ due diligence in our buildings and this we have done in several things we have done,” NAN quoted Enenche as saying.

“We believe that going forward, we will look into more details, the procedures and everything including technical details, and we trust God this will be forestalled in the future.”

He said the pastor would be missed by members of his family, the church, and the entire people of Benue state.

Enenche added that God has answers to everything and would reveal the reason behind the collapse of the church.

He prayed that God grant the family of the deceased and the entire branch of Dunamis International Gospel Church the fortitude to bear the loss.
