The Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) has elected Lanre Adisa as its 20th president.
The association said Adisa was elected president on Saturday at its 51st annual general meeting (AGM) in Ogun, according to a statement on Sunday.
The group said the new president is the managing director and chief creative officer (CEO) of Noah’s Ark Communications, an advertising agency firm in Nigeria.
Adisa succeeds Steve Babaeko, who served the association for two terms.

Following his election, Adisa is expected to lead the AAAN executive board over the next two years.
Speaking on his election, he promised to build on the current successes recorded by the association and move it forward in the right direction.
Other elected members of the new board are Adekoyejo Abiola, as vice-president, Sola Adegorioye, as treasurer, Fumibi Fayo-Adeleye and Sam Ochonma who were elected as publicity secretary and assistant publicity secretary, respectively.

According to the AAAN, Babaeko, under whom the association gained significant relevance over the last four years, will serve as an ex-officio member along with Funke Adetola, Bisi Olusanya, Marie Awolaja, and Omoraro George.
Speaking at the AGM, Babaeko said strategic partnerships have enhanced the association’s relevance and reputation.
He said fostering a collaborative culture has built a strong sense of community among its diverse members.
The advert professional added that AAAN has faced significant challenges but they have been surmounted through the support and cooperation of all members, leading to remarkable achievements.

He also said the association is an entity that is stronger than it has ever been.
