Abiodun, Dangote, Otedola condole with Senbanjo over father’s death

Tributes have continued to pour in for Oluwole Senbanjo, the late elder statesman, who died on April 5 at the age of 92.

Late Senbanjo was the father of OmoOba Segun Senbanjo, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun state and regional director of Seymour Energy Consulting.

Dapo Abiodun, governor of Ogun state; Aliko Dangote, chairman of Dangote Group; and billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, are among prominent Nigerians who have visited the Senbanjo family home to offer their condolences.

Born on July 20, 1932, the late Senbanjo began his career at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in the early 1960s.

He later served as an accountant at the Federal Mortgage Bank and ITT Telecommunications, contributing to Nigeria’s financial and telecommunications sectors in the 1960s and 1970s.

He is survived by eight children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His funeral will take place at 11 am on May 1, 2025, at the Cathedral Church of Christ in Marina, Lagos.
