Dapo Abiodun, governor of Ogun, has sworn in the state’s 20 newly elected LGA chairpersons.
On Saturday, the All Progressive Congress (APC) won all 20 chairmanship and 236 councillorship seats in the council poll.
Speaking on Monday during the swearing-in ceremony, Abiodun asked new council chairmen to ensure transparency and evenly distribute democratic benefits across their councils.
He asked the LG chairpersons to “innovate revenue generation without overburdening residents” of the state.
