Abuja NSE nominates Kwara commissioner for leadership award.

Suleiman Rotimi Iliasu, Kwara state commissioner for works and transport, has been nominated for the excellence and leadership award by the Nigeria Society of Engineers, Maitama, Abuja branch.

In a statement on Wednesday, NSE said Iliasu was nominated for the award for his excellent leadership role in promoting professionalism and sustainable development in Nigeria.

The award ceremony will hold during the society’s annual week and induction ceremony from September 3 to September 8 in Abuja.

The nomination is coming a few days after the commissioner received a surprise birthday celebration from directors in the Kwara state ministry of works.

He was commended for his outstanding performance, which has rendered Kwara an infrastructural developing state under the leadership of AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman, governor of the state.

The theme for the conference and induction ceremony is “Digital Economy and Infrastructural Development: An Optimal Engineering Solution to Eliminate Security Challenges in Nigeria”.

“One of the major events of the dignify branch is the chairman’s cocktail party and award presentation. The event is always one of its kind featuring awards to greet achievers in the engineering sphere and other areas of professionalism, taking into consideration the last two years of the executive committee under the distinguished leadership of Engr Oladipupo Mabogaje”, the letter reads.

“Sir, please be informed that after due consideration, you have been nominated as the recipient of excellence and leadership awards in recognition of your roles in promoting professionalism and sustainable development in Nigeria.”
