Access Holdings says it has acquired Megatech Insurance Brokers Limited to expand its services and create growth opportunities.
Sunday Ekwochi, Access Holdings’ secretary, announced the acquisition of the insurance brokerage company in a corporate filing on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) on Monday.
Access Holdings said it obtained all required regulatory approvals for the acquisition.
“The acquisition of the company complements Access Holdings bouquet of product offerings in pursuit of its vision of building globally connected community of ecosystems inspired by Africa for the world,” Access Holdings said.

“In this regard, Megatech will strive to create a world where risk is efficiently managed so that we can confidently seek and seize opportunities for growth.”
Commenting on the development, Herbert Wigwe, group chief executive officer (CEO), Access Holdings, said the acquisition signals a natural step in the company’s evolution as a globally connected community and ecosystem.
“It also aligns with our mission to build and sustain one global platform, open for anyone to join where people can be connected to exceptional opportunities,” Wigwe said.

“The company will design and provide intelligent solutions that mitigate the unique risks faced by individuals and business in an ever-changing world using leading risk management tools and governance standards.”
Access Holdings also announced on January 8, 2023, that its subsidiary, Access Bank, has completed the acquisition of African Banking Corporation Zambia Limited, also known as Atlas Mara Zambia.
