Adebowale Adefuye, who until his death on August 27 was Nigeria’s ambassador to the United States of America, will be buried at Ikoyi Vault and Gardens in Lagos on September 18.
This was disclosed in a statement signed on behalf of his family by Babatunde Adefuye.
According to the statement, the Christian wake keep will take place at Harbour Point, in Victoria Island, Lagos on September 17 and his funeral service will hold at Christ Church Cathedral, Marina on September 18.
Adefuye reportedly suffered a seizure in his chauffeur-driven car and died before he could receive medical help.

A native of Ijebu-Igbo in Ogun state, he was Nigeria’s ambassador to Jamaica from 1987 to 1991 before he was appointed deputy high commissioner in the UK.
He served for five years as ambassador to the US and while President Muhammadu Buhari recalled ambassadors, Adefuye appeared to have enjoyed an extension because of the president’s visit to the US.
He earned his first degree in history from the University of Ibadan in 1969.
