Ademola Adeleke, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Osun state governorship election, defeated Isiaka Oyetola, his All Progressives Congress (APC) rival at the polling unit of Adelani Baderinwa, the state commissioner for information.
Adeleke secured 171 votes ahead of Oyetola who polled 113 votes at Unit 2, ward 4, Ifelodun local government area of the state where Baderinwa cast his ballot.
Adeleke cleared Ede, his local government, while Oyetola was victorious in Boripe local government where he hails from.
The collation of results is underway across the 30 local government areas of the state.

Save for inducement of voters and few incidents of card readers malfunctioning, the election recorded success.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is expected to declare a winner at its head office in Osogbo.
