Ademola Adedoyin, a marketing communications specialist, has been decorated with the fellowship gold medal of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
Adedoyin was decorated at the 2021 annual general meeting of NIPR in Bauchi state on Thursday in attestation of his standing as a foremost professional in the public relations (PR) practice in Nigeria.
The 57-year-old PR practitioner is the founder and first lead consultant/chief executive officer of MessagesInc PR and Energy & Business Media Limited.
He was the corporate communications adviser at Ancestral Holdings, a Nigerian conglomerate with interests across different sectors, and former general secretary of the Public Relations Consultants’ Association of Nigeria (PRCAN).

Adedoyin is also an ace journalist with a media professional career between 1987 and 2002 as an energy correspondent with a number of acclaimed awards.
He won the Diamond Award for Media Excellence (DAME) energy reporter of the year 1994 and repeated the same feat in 1995.
That same year (1995), Adedoyin won the Nigerian Media Merit Awards (NMMA) best energy correspondent award, while in the following year he was one of the three nominees for the NNMA print journalist of the year award.

He worked as the business editor at Vanguard Media Limited between August 1997 and February 2002 and also as the head of business desk with TheWeek Magazine between April 1994 and July 1997.
He also made forays in the television media industry with the production and presentation of oil and gas news magazine programmes, EnergyThisweek and Nigerian Content Weekly, on Channels TV and Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
He holds an MSc. in marketing and a post graduate diploma in business administration from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Adedoyin also holds the chieftaincy title of Otunba Onigegewura of Esieland.
