Ademola Adeleke woos PDP stakeholders ahead of Osun guber primary poll

Ademola Adeleke, governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun, has commenced consultation across the state in view of the party’s forthcoming primary election.

March 7 has been fixed as the date the primary election will be held.

In a statement on Tuesday, Adeleke said he will be telling party members of his agenda for the state if elected governor.

“Today, I commenced a statewide tour of the Nine federal constituencies in Osun state to meet party elders and delegates ahead of the March 7 governorship primaries,” the aspirant said.

“My team and I plan to use the tour to consult leaders, supporters, party members and delegates on my aspiration and agenda to lead the party to victory if voted as candidate of our great party.

“I will start the day by first meeting with members of the State Working Committee where I will intimate the party of my aspiration and seek blessing and counselling on a consultation tour of the party structures across the State.

“I have deep appreciation for the massive support our people have offered me all the time. So my going round is in part a consultation and a thank you for the support of yesterday, today and tomorrow.

“To my fellow contenders, I again extend hands of fellowship and brotherhood. Our theme is Light; we have no grudge; we are one big family; and in unity, we shall ride to victory this July.”

Wale Ladipo, former national secretary of the PDP, and Bayo Faforiji, former Osun commissioner of works, are among members of his team.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) fixed July for the Osun governorship election.
