Adeyeye: Expect PDP landslide victory in Osun

The minister of state for works, Mr Adedayo Adeyeye, has predicted another victory dance for the  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after the August 9 governorship election in Osun.

Adeyeye told journalists in Ado Ekiti that the party’s governorship candidate, Chief Iyiola Omisore, would secure “a landslide victory at the poll”.

He said the people of Ekiti had opened the floodgate of victory for the PDP in the South-West, adding that nothing would stop the victory ship from berthing in Osun.

Adeyeye said: “Osun people have shown that they are tired of the All Progressives Congress (APC) government and are ready for a change.

“Nigerians should ask Gov. Rauf Aregbesola why he is contesting the August 9 election meant for Osun.

“It is funny that Aregbesola, who calls himself ‘Governor of the State of Osun’ is contesting ‘Osun State’ governorship election.

“The people of Osun are eagerly waiting for August 9 to elect their governor.

  1. Osun is not like ekiti, go and check the result of the opinion poll that was conducted, Aregbesola has over 70%
which simply translate that he’ll have a landslide victory come 09/08/2014. when the same poll was conducted in ekiti fayose was slightly ahead of other candidate.

  2. Day light dream by PDP.71/2 years of PDP rule in Osun translated to nothing.why then the scrambling for osun by PDP.Please don’t snatch the state by all means o.you have all the powers to do that outside the pole.Mercy o.let the electorate decide at the pole.I know one will never taste honey and say its bitter.we have tasted Aregbesola nd CAN they are ok .

  3. Rauf is very different from Fayemi. He has grassroots support. Omisore does not. Did you see the entirety of the PDP crowd on Saturday? That is what Ogbeni usually has in a rally in one (1) LG. Even Omi knows the score and is just going through the motions…
