Victor Osimhen, Super Eagles striker, will not participate in Tuesday’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier clash against Sierra Leone in Freetown, a source told TheCable.
Osimhen, who picked up a shoulder injury in the 72nd minute of play in last Friday’s encounter, which ended in a 4-4 draw, will not be on the flight to Sierra Leone for the reverse fixture.
A source in the Eagles’ Eterno hotel in Benin city told TheCable that the 21-year-old may also be out for a couple of weeks so as to rest his shoulder.
“Osimhen won’t make the trip with the team to Freetown for the second leg of the AFCON match against Sierra Leone,” the source told TheCable.

Osimhen netted the second goal in the disappointing 4-4 draw against Leone Stars at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium, Benin city.
