AFCON: Umar leads attack as Eguavoen makes 8 changes for Guinea-Bissau clash

Augustine Eguavoen, Super Eagles interim coach, has made eight changes for Wednesday’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group D clash against Guinea-Bissau at Ominisports Roumde Adjia Stadium.

In the lineup, Semi Ajayi, who is starting his first game of the tournament, will partner with William Troost-Ekong at centre-back.

Tyrone Ebuehi and Jamilu Collins will also be given their first starts for Nigeria, while Kelechi Nwakali replaces Joe Aribo.

Francis Uzoho, Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper, will start behind the sticks for the three-time African champions.

There are also spots in the starting lineup for Alex Iwobi and Chidera Ejuke while Sadiq Umar and Kelechi Iheanacho complete the first eleven list.

The kick-off time for Super Eagles’ match against Guinea-Bissau is 8 pm.
