October 5, 2014 has been set as the launch date for popular reality TV show, Big Brother Africa, which suffered a set back due to an unprecedented fire outbreak on September 2.
The incident scuppered the planned September 7 launch of the show, and its organisers, M-Net and Endemol SA, had to “search frantically” for another house, finally finding one, still in Johannesburg.
“M-Net and Endemol SA are delighted to confirm that a new Big Brother house has been found in Johannesburg, South Africa following the devastating fire that demolished the original house on September 2,” they said in a statement on Friday.
“The search was concluded after exploring all possible options both locally and internationally, for a suitable venue to produce the 9th season of Africa’s biggest reality show.
