Duke Udi, who was sacked as head coach of Sunshine Stars on Tuesday, has urged the football club to pay the money owed him.
Following his sack, Udi took to Twitter to demand his outstanding salary, bonus, and allowances from his former employer.
Udi wrote: “Asking me to step down is not a problem, I am happy that while it lasted I gave my best and portrayed myself as a thorough professional on the job. I thank the fomer chairman, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye for the support he gave me throughout his tenure.”
“I also thank the players and supporters of @Sunshine FC Akure for their support throughout my stay and I wish the team all the very best. Now left for the team to hold up our end of the contract and pay me outstanding allowances, match bonuses and salary arrears.”

He also reminded the club’s management of the performance bonus promised him for keeping the team in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) last season.
“Also, the outstanding performance bonus promised for keeping the team in the league last season as well. The least the club can do now is release these monies. I do hope to return to the helm at another club soon by God’s grace,” Udi wrote.
