The Department of State Services (DSS) has again invited Obadiah Mailafiya, a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), for questioning.
According to NAN, Yakubu Bawa, Mailafiya’s lawyer, confirmed that his client has been re-invited by the secret police.
He said Mailafiya is expected to be at the DSS office in Jos, Plateau state capital, by 12 noon.
Bawa said the invitation was in connection with Mailafiya’s encounter with the DSS last week.

“I believe it wouldn’t be anything different from the last encounter with DSS, which was purely interactive,” he said.
The DSS had earlier invited Mailafia over a claim he made that a governor from the north is a commander of the Boko Haram sect.
He made the claim while being interviewed on an Abuja-based radio station last Monday.

The former CBN deputy governor said during the lockdown, the insurgents were moving and distributing arms and ammunition across the country.
Addressing supporters after his release from DSS custody on Wednesday, Mailafia said he stood by what he said and that he was ready to lay down his life for Nigeria.
But in an interview with BBC Hausa on Thursday, Mailafia said he got the information from some traders in the market and did not know that his statement would go viral.
