Ahmed Ali, Borno commissioner for finance, found dead in his room

Ahmed Ali, commissioner for finance in Borno state, is dead.

Usman Tar, Borno commissioner for information and internal security, confirmed Ali’s death in a statement on Monday.

He said the deceased was found dead in his room on Monday morning and will be buried at 5:00 p.m.

Tar said the burial rites will be conducted at the late commissioner’s family house at Damboa road, behind Indimi’s residence in Borno.

Meanwhile, Babagana Zulum, governor of Borno, had recently lost two members of his cabinet within one year.

In January, Isah Gusau, the special adviser on public relations and strategy to the governor, died after battling a heart ailment.
