The Nigeria air force and the United Nations Humanitarian Air Service (UNHAS) helicopter have been evacuating injured internally displaced persons and other civilians from Rann to Maiduguri.
This was disclosed by Peter Lundberg, the UN deputy humanitarian coordinator in Nigeria.
