Aisha Abubakar hit with two more petitions

‎The senate on Thursday received two additional petitions against the ministerial nomination of Aisha Abubakar from Sokoto state.

Ibrahim Gobir, senator representing Sokoto east, who had brought the initial petition against the nominee, laid the additional petitions before the‎ senate.

According to Gobir, the grouse of the “People of Sokoto” with Abubakar is that she is “incompetent”.

Also, the Sokoto chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had rejected Abubakar’s nomination as minister on the grounds that she was not a member of the party.
